My thanks to my FB Friend John Burgess for posting a link (below) to a paper recently published on November 26th 2013 on the Physics World site. The paper describes a new version of the twin-slit experiment that took place at Tel-Aviv University using Mach-Zehnder interferometers as double slits and photons as particles.
Overseeing this experiment was Professor Lev Vaidman. I was first introduced to the work of Vaidman after an American “Itladian” Dr. Paul Bruney sent me some of Vaidman’s academic papers a few years ago. Paul also pointed out to me the work of Yakir Aharonov and his association with Professor David Bohm (who together worked on something that is now known as the Aharonov-Bohm Effect). Dr. Bruney had heard of my writings through a mutual friend, Dr.Art Funkhouser and Paul was keen to meet up with me.
Paul and I subsequentely met up in New York and over lunch Paul explained to me his own research involving a way of using the implications of something known as the AAPV (named after its creators; Aharonov, Anandan, Popescu and Vaidman) “thought experiment” to prove the existence of alternate universes. I recall Paul drawing some complex diagrams and mathematical formulations on a paper napkin and trying hard to get my head round them. I have to admit my knowledge of the mathematical aspects of quantum mechanics is sadly lacking but what Paul described to me in layperson’s terms was very exciting. Sadly I have lost touch with Paul but I am sure that he will be involved in this breakthrough in some capacity or other (maybe Art Funkhouser can update me in this regard). In case I am accused of simply “bandwagon jumping” the link below will take you to a thread on the CTF Forum from December 2010 where myself, Ed Gilchrist, Ian Wilson, Terry Allen and others show just how amazing that Forum was in its early day and (I hope) will again be under the guiding hand of Stephen Bowman:http://anthonypeake.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1634&sid=bb43acf8f7ce842e345bd43d3416855f
