Wow! I know that this is not, in any way, “viral” in the general understanding of the word but the latest HD posting of a talk from two years ago, which was posted six weeks ago on YouTube has now had over 24,500 viewings. I am delighted to see such interest in what I believe is probably my best presentation ever.
Of course I make a few elementary mistakes (for example I termed ORCH-OR to be “Orchestrated Reduction” rather than “Orchestated OBJECTIVE Reduction” …. a ver…bal slip that I have done many times in the past even though I am fully aware of the correct term, and that I rather slur the name Thomas Kuhn to make his surname sound like Cohn … again a form of verbal tic I have in that I am fully aware that the theory of scientific revolutions was Kuhn not Cohn. I suspect that this is because one of my favourite books is Norman Cohn’s “The Pursuit of the Millennium” and a have, for some reason, linked the two surnames in my mind) but these “mistakes” are simply phonetic and it must be taken into account that the talk was not scripted. Indeed, much of it was off the cuff but, because of these, I wandered away from the central theme and pulled together some disparate themes.
I clearly warmed to my task and by the end I was a buzz of adrenaline …. I recall being exhausted afterwards but then had to drive back from Glastonbury to West Sussex that night ….
Anyway, even if you have watched (or listened to) my previous lectures this is worth checking out.
I would be also grateful if those interested “shared” the link with their own social networks. I genuinely believe that this is the most accurate example of where my thinking now is with regards to the whole “itladian” concept …… “https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aZnzMkIGZz0”
