The Instagram posting below is an example of what I call “Egregorial Science”. I am using the term “egregorial” here as expounded in my book “The Hidden Universe”. By this I mean that consciousness creates reality and by mentally anticipating things they can sometimes come into existence. In effect, our anticipations collapse the statistical wave function into a point particle with a specific location in space and time.
Over the years I have collected many examples of this. Scientists, in “acts of desperation” envisage a theoretical particle to make their science work …. and then, as if on request, the particle is detected. For example, with regards to the “discovery” of the muon Nobel-Prize winning physicist I.I. Rabi said “who ordered that?”
Had I not decided that my NDE book would be my last one, this would have been the subject of my 14th book. But after two decades of writing where my work has been overlooked and ignored by academia I simply couldn’t be bothered expending the energy.
But I do believe that this hypothesis, together with all the others presented in my books, deserve careful consideration by brains far more powerful than mine and by people far better qualified in the fields of quantum mechanics, cosmology, neurology, neurochemistry, anthropology and psychiatry. Sadly, because I have no academic credibility, I feel this will never happen, well, as my 72nd birthday looms, not in this iteration of the “Bohmian IMAX”.
I may record a video about my “Egregorial Science Hypothesis” (ESH) on my Youtube channel in the next few weeks….. because, I am sure, in the way in which many of my other models of understanding discussed in my books have later appeared expounded by others to much acclaim and recognition, that in the future ESH will be proposed by somebody with greater credibility than me and it will receive huge applause and enthusiasm.
