In recent years there has been a huge increase in the number of cases of Alzheimer’s Disease reported across the world. Indeed, my own mother died of this illness three years ago. It is therefore logical to conclude that many of those who read this posting will, at some stage, encounter this disease either with regards to their own parents, spouses or friends.
There is no question that Alzheimer’s is awful, but it is important that we understand what it may be telling us about human consciousness.

I have known Maggie for a number of years and I can honestly say that her book “The Gift of Alzheimer’s: New Insights into the Potential of Alzheimer’s and its Care” is one of the best books I have ever read. After finishing it I was really able to place into context so many of the strange things I witnessed with regards to my own mother’s illness.
