Sarah Janes and Anthony Peake were joined by their mutual friend Carl H. Smith, Director of the Learning Technology Research Centre (LTRC) and Principal Research Fellow at Ravensbourne University London. In this wide ranging discussion on the impact and uses of technology in education a number of topics are explored including encounters with DMT “entities”, dark immersion, the “Hive Mesh”, Transhumanism, Hyperhumanism and bulding a Metaverse. Carl has over 20 years’ experience conducting research and development into the application of hybrid technologies for perceptual, cognitive and creative transformation. His research interests also include Distributed Cognition, Spatial Literacy and Hyper-humanism. It is also an amazing, and totally unplanned, anniversary date of a unique event that Carl, Sarah and myself were involved in at Drakelow Tunnels exactly two years ago tomorrow….. among other things we will be discussing our memories of that amazing day…….
