Probably the most extraordinary (and extremely personal) synchronicity took place yesterday and one that the much-cited “Law of Large numbers” “attention bias” totally fail to explain.
Yesterday, during my meeting with Bob Rickard of Fortean Times we initially discussed synchronicity and how it seems that sometimes the universe seems fine tuned to “the observer”.
We then moved on to an in-depth discussion about my future plans for a re-creation of Plato’s Cave in Greece (at the actual location that academics believe inspired Plato to come up with his famous thought experiment (so similar to the modern, and much-discussed “Simulation Argument”). This was, in effect, a discussion involving my interest in an obscure cave in Attica.
We then warmed to our theme and I discussed my hypothesis regarding darkness, shamanism and how caves may facilitate internally-generated DMT via the pineal gland. I cited how I discussed this in detail in my 2019 book “The Hidden Universe” (which Bob reviewed for Fortean Times) in 2020.
So Peake’s ideas regarding caves was central to our discussion.
Later yesterday evening I received an email from Bob pointing out the most extraordinary “coincidence” regarding my name and caves. (Images above).
I wonder if “Peake Studies” still exists?
Now there was also an intensely personal additional “coincidence” that I will not discuss here but one that really turns this into what seems to be a pointed message to me. Daemon inspired?
