I am delighted to confirm the date and prices for the weekend residential event at Dom i Biblioteka Sichowska near Krakow in southern Poland. The event will start on Friday 11th May 2018 and will end on Sunday 13th May 2018.
On Friday afternoon delegates will be met at Warsaw Airport. They will then be given a walking tour of Krakow which will take in most of the major sights. The delegates will then be driven to Dom i Biblioteka Sichowska in the rolling countryside of Southern Poland. This will be a leisurely drive of around 125 kms and will take in some stunning scenery.
My intention is to use the weekend to give a full introduction to my work. This will involve a series of lectures, seminars and informal discussions. I am hoping to be joined by a special guest (details to follow) which will broaden (and deepen) the themes.
Costs will be £400 per person for a single room and £330 per person for sharing a twin room. For this you will get 2 nights full board (bed, breakfast, lunch and evening meal). All lectures and seminars are included in the price.
Krakow is easy to get to from the UK with easyJet flights from London Gatwick, Liverpool and Bristol and is also on routes by other airlines. With regards to easyJet here are the suggested flights:
I also plan to continue the informal discussions over coffee at Krakow Airport as we wait for our return flights.
Suggested flights are as follows:
London Gatwick to Krakow – Depart 0925 arriving at 12:55.
Bristol to Krakow – Depart 0705 arriving at 10:35
Liverpool to Krakow – Depart 0705 arriving at 10:35
Krakow to Gatwick – Depart 1330 arriving back at Gatwick at 15:10
Krakow to Bristol – Depart 11:05 arriving back in Bristol at 12:45
Krakow to Liverpool – Depart 11:05 arriving back in Liverpool at 12:45
I am informed that other airlines fly direct into Krakow from various airports across Europe.
I am keen to have an idea of numbers. The centre has 11 rooms. These can be booked on a single occupancy basis (£380) or double occupancy (£310). This means there will be a maximum of 22 delegates if all are happy to share a room or a minimum of 11 if all rooms are taken on a single basis.
You could arrive earlier and/or leave later and give yourself more time to see this part of Europe. If you do decide to do this you will, of course, have to arrange your own accommodation for your additional days.
Please feel free to contact me via the “contact” form on this website if you are interested or require further information.
