Cheating the Ferryman, Is there Life After Death, The Daemon.

This is the forum for all who are interested in the theory of what may happen to consciousness at the point of death as explained in the books 'Is There Life After Death - The Extraordinary Science Of What Happens When You Die' and The Daemon.

Construction of microtubules

Neurology is the study of the way in which the brain works. CTF/ITLAD suggests that within the structures of the brain - the neurons, the microtubules and the neurotransmitters - may be found the answer to the ultimate question - What happens to human consciousness at the point of death?

'Microtubules: Generally considered part of the cells skeleton these supremely delicate and complex structures are increasingly associated with cognition and intelligence particularly in neural cells where they are especially abundant, some theories even suggest a central role in higher consciousness. Either way like most biological structures, their precise design and molecular arrangement, is dictated by DNA. However they display a very high level of plasticity in response to their biochemical environment, an excellent example of real time hormonal and chemical effect on the transcription, configuration and functionality of structures directly related to cognition and consciousness. For example a minor change in the cellular concentration of the neuro-active hormone melatonin will radically alter the structure of these extraordinary intelligence-related machines. Is it any wonder that the near total loss of the complex and hormonally active chemicals present and essential during the evolution and development of our brain has left the most delicate and hormonally sensitive parts of our consciousness system twisted and distorted literally out of all recognition.'

I have just posted an article in the Newcomers forum on a microtubule based theory of Life After Death which has the uncanny property of predicting exactly the same time dilation phenomena as Tony's ITLAD hypothesis.

It is known that microtubules can act as "tubular waveguides"carry microwave/infrared signals. The frequency of these signals is referred to as Frohlich's Frequency and is about 10^12 Hz. Since ordinary neuronl firing is about 1-kilo Hz, this means they are a billion times higher frequency. A billion seconds is 31 years which means that a one second "microtubule dream" at the moment of death could be percieved by the dearly departed as a 31-year afterlife. Thus, while the bedside observers would see the person expire in a second, the dearly departed might easily spend 31 years in a virtual reality cyber-paradise just as Tony has hypothesized!

Ain't that something beautiful, in a way!
