nova s39 ep06 Illusion of Time Btian Greene

Quantum physics deals with the science of the very small - the very building blocks of matter. However over the last ninety or so years this obscure area of research has shown that the universe is a far stranger place than anybody could imagine. Everything we perceive around us is built of waves of probability and particles that zip in and out of existence. However ITLAD/CTF suggests that it is within this area of research that the very nature of conciousness itself may be understood. Can this be correct? Join in the debate here.

But they are never in a different time frame as this documentary alludes. I have asked others who also thought this was implied or to easy to interpret in that manner. It could well be as you say simply a poor example, but one should expect better.
The different time frames are simply caused by the time light takes to travel the distances between and nothing to do with the speed one is traveling. The distant person may see the images from 10,000 years ago, but that is not actually what is happening, nor is it the actual NOW, or any actual view of reality as it is in their now.
They are simply seeing 100,000 year old light images. This is not clear and should be, as it is a core concept.
The apparent speed of life of the other party is possibly a different matter.

You are confusing me by calling them "time frames" --- there is no such thing as time and space are together always
spacetime. If you accept that way of thinking by Einstein then it is incorrect to just think of time frames.

I don't think Greene ever refers to them as time frames.

The problem I have with the loaf of bread is that human beings are not contained within the loaf whereas we are not separate from the universe -- we are in it -- we are in spacetime, and our spacetime is unique to each individual

and there is no angled slice across the bread, only old light

First thing I said

Nope, we are all in the same space-time, even if we sometimes seem to experience it at different rates
