We are having an on-going problem with the "View Active" topics facility on here. I use this all the time to check what is live. I have asked the webmaster to look into this and see what can be done.

It seems that this software by phpBB is cauysing all kinds of problems ...... not least the new colour scheme!

Tony: Interesting. I always start there, i.e., using "View Active Topics", so I thought the Forum was entirely inactive.

I needed to know to access things in different ways.

Thx

I was hoping that this problem had corrected itself. I checked this morning and a new posting by Inisfree earlier this morning is now showing as an "Active Topic". However I have just posted this response and this has not registered. I will speak to Jan about this today and see what she can do about it.

MAC: I agree. Like you I use this to spot any activity since I last checked in. We must sort this out ... if we can ...

search.php?search_id=active_topics

Hmm ... still not showing up on "view active topics" ... that feature may not yet be fully functional.

Hi Guys,

I have spoken to Jan, the webmaster, and she has explained that this is now the most up-to-date version of the software and some changes have been programmed in. To check what has been posted since your last visit you should click on "View New Posts" not "View Active Comments". This will then present you with a personal listing of new posts that you have not viewed.

I suggest that from now on you check there for all recent activity. I am unclear as to what the function of "View Active Topics" is now .....

Cheers

Tony

Tony,
Just a point that these new options only show when you are logged in. If you don't log in, as i think many don't when just browsing, then you only see the old two options (view active topics and view unanswered posts)

DK
