In addition I will be meeting up with the doctors at the Austrian Embassy in London in ten days time. The trade mission there is giving it's full support to the device. As far as I am aware none of the other devices (Proteus included) have no such backing. Indeed the only backing seems to be from the websites selling them. This is not to say that they do not do what is claimed of them, just simply that the LL Stimulator is pitched to a totally different Market.

I found this site quite interesting http://www.brainwavejourneys.com/home.html. It contains a series of reviews of similar devices on the Market.

A good link Tony.
I have and/or have used a number of the items in that list over the years, and many others. I have found one of the most effective to be an isolation tank experience, although those are not for everyone. One of the best CD type is the Gateway experience in my estimation. probably due to the fact that it leads you on a developing path over time, and requires some effort and discipline.
I question the value of those those that promise an 'enlightenment now' without effort for most although I have had reports of many positive experiences with them.

Who are the 'trade mission/trade commission' who are promoting Lucia? These are after all still salesmen, although they tend to deal with higher 'value' items. Who funds them and what is the criteria for inclusion?
A good benchmark would be examining what else they have promoted...

Well I suppose it is just a tool... And with a price tag like that most of us would never have to worry about being dependent on it for expanding our minds!

Domos,

A fair point. However the price reflects the amount of research and development that has gone into the device over the last five years or so. It also shows that this is not a toy but a serious medical device that should be used with caution and only by suitably qualified or trained individuals. It is hoped that organisations or medical practices will be the machines and use them as part of their procedures.

Logic suggests that this, indeed, will be the case. One can also assume that deaf people are denied the effects of "Holosync" and "Hemi-Sync" ...... just as fate has denied both groups access to certain elements of the phenomenal world of the senses.....

As one of my long-term girlfriends was deaf and a close friend of mine also suffers this unfortunate affliction I am well aware of what a scourge this is..... and the frustrations that deaf people have. I am not sure what point you are trying to make here......

Well a lot of research goes into the iPhone too, although there is greater safety in numbers from buying an iPhone, rather than a tool that could expand consciousness beyond the PMR rule set. Because we are a herd animal I guess that there is no demand or incentive to mass-produce such a blasphemous thing! :)

I appreciate the effort to build such a high quality device, but as an engineer, I cannot help but think that the core of it is a simple piece of configurable software, running on a microcontroller, which is then driving a series of LED's in a particular combination and rate. In a way I can't blame them for the cost really. They are trying to make a living as much as anyone else and what self-respecting corporation is going to fund a research project like that and risk their losing peer reputation?
