I've promoted the Electric Universe theory, since I first read about it in Nexus magazine as it ties in with the way I think life really works - an idea I call the Accumulation / Discharge Cycle (It ties in with The Tao or life as a journey and the needs of the body as well as a car to refuel: Inner quest for knowledge / outer quest for experience - Ouroboros or the worm chasing itself).
I was watching a TV program about poltergeists and they showed a photograph taken at the time. I'd seen a similar one featuring someone else plagued by the same kind of phenomena. It looked like an energy snake, composed of gold light. Either we can take this literally as just that (as with Rods phenomena) or as motion capture of something moving at tremendous speed and doing so in short bursts (Think of a worm or snake moving over / through soil - think also of peristaltic motion of food through the body, blood circulation or even gender).
A car engine also throbs but the higher the speed, the less noticeable the gaps between pulses, so that reaches a high pitched whine in a plane engine, that makes the gaps so small as to be almost inaudible: In a Star Trek episode aliens moved so fast as to be invisible but were heard as a high pitched sound in the atmosphere, which may tie in with some contactees reporting tinnitus before a visitation. I believe everything moves through time this way, filling and emptying like a vehicle or body (vacuole effect) and this explains emotional troughs and peaks too as well as the poltergeist photo banding.
Light moves in waves of particles too. Look also at con trails. They soon break up into bars from a single solid line. Then there is photos of UFOs as light sources - again, like the poltergeist, they seem to manoeuvre all over the place in an instant, unless this is camera shake as it doesn't happen all the time, with all film / photos of this phenomena.
