CTF/ITLAD suggests a very specific structure as to what happens to human consciousness at the point of death. In his writings Anthony Peake also considers that all the elements of CTF can be found in Gnostic teachings. He proposes that the great Gnostic philosophers and writers of the past had an awareness of CTF and described it in esoteric language. The same applies to the great mystic and occult schools of Europe and Asia. Have you an opinion on this? Do you agree that writers such as Crowley, Blake, Blavatsky, Gurdjeif and Ouspensky (and many others) were describing elements of ITLAD in a different form. Was CTF the real secret of the Cathars?

I can understand asceticism as a form of spiritual growth, but 'stopping' right before climax seems tantamount to torture. Then again, maybe they're onto something...who knows!

From my own personal experience I have come to understand that 'stopping' right before climax can heighten the experience of intercourse, that is under the condition that you continue to repeat this teasing of the threshold until a point where you and your partner simultaneously climax. This is coming from the perspective of a male, however upon the mention of my gender I am reminded of how such experiences seem to transcend bodily pleasure and ecstasy. One could say it is more spiritual.
I still haven't solved the question of masturbation however ^-^ I think it's kinda relative to the situation

How odd, I was subscribed to your podcast already but it hadn't been updating? The last episode I had was Winter Laake on Lovecraft and Akhenaten. I'm glad I bumped into you on here so I've got it up to date

That was many moons ago! I've covered enough topics since to have me burnt at the stake.
