I've started reading the book The Daemon and I'm hooked! (I bought it off Anthony's stall at a conference last year and it's been on my shelf a while ) This is exactly what I've always suspected. In fact I've worked our some of what's in the book myself. I've long suspected that I have something that I call my "Higher Self", which is just my own terminology for the Daemon. I've had experiences, thoughts and feelings that overwhelmingly indicate that such an entity exists.

Hi Hagbard.

Great to have you involved and posting on here. I really believe that the Daemon hypothesis works as an explanator of so many perceived phenomena. Unfortunately it is how this hypothesis can be proved in any way. Unfortunately all Daemonic encounters are, by their very nature, subjective. But I am hopeful that with enough will and support we will find a way to present empirical proof of the existence of the Daemon-Eidolon Dyad.....

Hi Tony. I'm still only on Chapter 2, but do you go into this in more detail later?

I'm on the bit about Deja Vu and as you say, it's the most common psychic event in the world. I get it myself every few weeks or so. I had it today. It doesn't occur during some very pivotal and turbulent time in my life. Often it happens just at random times when I'm just having ordinary experiences.

The story about the racing driver was interesting. I was talking to a man, a radio show host, who told me he experienced something similar while driving on the road. A voice said: "Pull over now!" in his ear. He did so just as a huge lorry came hurltling round the bend at high speed on the wrong side of the road. He could not have seen the lorry. He called it his "Guardian Angel", a phrase many people use. But that's just another word for the Daemon, I reckon.
